She’s Dynamite.
Sarah McLeod has carved her name into the bones of Australian music. As the frontwoman of ARIA Award-winning, platinum album-selling band The Superjesus, she helped define a generation with anthems like “Gravity” and “Down Again.” With four studio albums and two live records under their belt, They are one of the country’s most iconic rock exports.
Beyond The Superjesus, McLeod’s story continues to be as fearless as it is unforgettable. Her powerful solo career spans three albums that showcase her versatility from aching ballads to full-throttle rock anthems. She’s a genre-defying storm: emotive, electric, and unmissable. Her live shows often start with piano confessionals that build to her trademark high-voltage energy on guitar.
Born to break moulds. Wired to reimagine.
Her story was never going to be one-note. She’s constantly evolving, a self-confessed workaholic who refuses to sit still. A prolific songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and mentor, McLeod collaborates across genres and generations. From punk-fuelled anthems with emerging teens to UK-charting dance tracks and immersive theatre compositions, her creative reach knows no bounds.
Green Day’s American Idiot proved her ability to command any musical stage. She went on to compose, perform, produce and releasethe hauntingly beautiful original soundtrack for Shake & Stir’s adaptation of Jane Eyre on a national tour - while also acting in multiple roles!
No two chapters sound the same,
But every one is unmistakably hers.
Now, alongside long-awaited solo material, she’s also turning the volume back up on her long-standing affair with electronic music. Having already pulsed through dance floors around the globe with tracks like “He Doesn’t Love You” and the house classic “Falling Out of Love,” McLeod is returning to the club scene with a fresh remix that brings the iconic sound to a new generation.
“Let’s be honest,” she grins. “EDM and I have always had chemistry. We’ve danced around it, swapped a few beats… and I’m not done yet.”
Off the stage, she’s no less formidable. As Chair of Australian Women in Music, McLeod advocates for a fairer and more honest industry, clearing the way for those who come behind her. Her advocacy and impact are unflinching and undeniable, shaped by three decades at the forefront of the industry.
Fresh off a national tour with The Superjesus, McLeod is sharpening every creative edge. With new solo releases looming and an unshakeable hunger to push even further- she’s right on target.
No rearview. No compromise. Just impact.
